1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health problem in any given year and these statistics are disproportionately higher for those who work in music.

This makes mental health everybody’s business.

Mental Health First Aid is a nationally accredited training for individuals and teams to be able to effectively respond to mental health issues.

The training will build your knowledge around mental illnesses and learn the skills and confidence to assess and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

You’ll learn how to:
  • Recognise common mental health issues
  • Provide initial help using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan
  • Respond in a Mental Health crisis situation
  • Seek appropriate professional help

The Mental Health First Aid is nationally accredited and costs $330 but Support Act is providing this training to anyone who works in the music industry for free, as the learning is so vital for a mentally healthier economically vibrant music industry.
