The objective of the Yarning Strong Mabo Day panel is to Acknowledge and recognise Mabo Day and Eddie Koiki Mabo. Mabo Day is celebrated on June 3, the date that the High Court of Australia made the Mabo Decision. This decision sparks the beginning of the land rights Movement in Native Title which has had a huge impact on the music industry through the stories being told by First Nations musicians.
