The Board of Support Act is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably experienced people to be considered for appointment to the Board of Directors.

Support Act is Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief services to artists, crew and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem, or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music. We do this in 2 ways. First, via our Crisis Relief Service, which provides short term funding for essential services. The second, is our Wellbeing Helpline. A free, confidential 24/7 phone counselling service.

More recently, we established our Covid-19 Response Fund with the generous support of the Australian Government. This also enabled us to expand our Wellbeing Helpline to all arts related workers.

We strongly encourage and welcome applications from people who offer experience, expertise and knowledge across one or more of the below listed criteria. Fundamental to your interest should also be an appreciation of, and love for, music. You will be motivated by a desire to help others and contribute to the success of Support Act and its role within the wider music industry.

The role of the Board is to provide governance and strategic leadership to the organisation which currently comprises mostly of people drawn from the Australian music industry. Director positions are voluntary and there is no remuneration.
