The Australian Road Crew Association’s (ARCA) Desk Tape Series has just released its 15th edition, featuring country music guitarists Albert Lee and Vince Gill live at The Prince Of Wales Hotel in St Kilda in 1988.

The live show was part of a 10-date run for the US-based country musicians, with a backing band comprised two legendary Aussies, Malcolm Wakeford on drums and Graham Thompson on bass.

The live tapes are made straight off the mixing desk by road crew member and sound engineer for the tour, Noel Bennett.

The Desk Tape Series was created to raise funds and resources for Support Act’s Roadies Fund to provide financial, health, counselling and wellbeing services for roadies and crew in crisis.

The latest tapes are available now on ARCA’s Black Box Records through MGM Distribution and on all major streaming services. Check out the latest recordings here.
