The Australian Road Crew Association’s (ARCA) Desk Tape Series has released its latest edition, featuring Tim Finn & The Escapade Band live at The Venue, St Kilda in 1983.

This latest tape was a culmination of two shows at the Melbourne music venue, which both sold out instantly.

For Finn, the album was about making music with a whole bunch of new people. In the core studio band were Ricky Fataar who also played drums, percussion, keyboards, backing vocals; one time Stylus member Sam McNally on synthesizers, and US born singer Venetta Fields (Boz Scaggs, Tina Turner, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Humble Pie) on backing vocals.

ARCA Desk Tape Series was created to raise funds and resources for Support Act’s Roadies Fund to provide financial, health, counselling and wellbeing services for roadies and crew in crisis.

The latest tapes are available now on ARCA’s Black Box Records through MGM Distribution and on all major streaming services. Check out the latest recordings here.
