A range of mental health support services and wellbeing programs for those working in the SA music industry are now available, thanks to a $250,000 grant provided by the South Australian Government as part of the See it LIVE music package.
The industry-specific prevention, education and training programs include On My Mind panel discussions, Mental Health First Aid training, First Nations mental health and wellbeing workshops, Workplace Wellbeing Check-Ins, financial wellbeing workshops, sexual health and safety training, and much more.
The programs are delivered in partnership with Music SA.
The funding will also ensure SA music industry professionals can continue accessing the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline – a free, confidential phone counselling service that is staffed by psychologists with direct experience of working in music and the arts.
The service is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days per year by calling 1800 959 500 within Australia.
