News

Like you, all of us at Support Act have been shocked at the scale of devastation unleashed by the current bushfire crisis in Australia.

Our hearts go out to all those who have lost loved ones, property, animals and/or livelihoods.

Our admiration goes to all those who are fighting the fires and to those who are providing support to affected communities.

We are proud to see the incredible response from the music industry through direct donations to the various relief agencies and through the many wonderful benefit concerts that are being organised over the coming weeks and months.

Support for these concerts is a great way to raise more money for the individuals and communities in need, and to encourage their speedy recovery.

Inevitably, artists, crew and music workers are also among those impacted by the fires, either directly or indirectly.

A reminder that the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline provides free, confidential counselling support to anyone working in Australian music. It is available by calling 1800 959 500.

Our Crisis Relief program provides short term financial and practical support to artists, crew and music workers who are who are facing hardship due to a crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music. For more information visit https://supportact.org.au/get-help/ or call 1300 731 303.
