First Nations Programs and Events

Support Act offers culturally grounded training created and delivered by First Nations practitioners. Our programs, including Voices Amplified, help creative workplaces build genuine cultural safety, strengthen inclusion, and understand the unique pressures facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers.

Sessions support respectful communication, safer team dynamics and more responsive leadership, giving organisations the skills to foster environments where First Nations creatives can thrive.

Yarning Strong

A series of online and in-person panel discussions that explore topics from mental health to creativity with panellists sharing their own lived experiences to uplift the First Nations creative community, and the wider music and creative industry community.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid (ATSI MHFA)

A nationally accredited training program that empowers you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, connect and effectively support First Nations people who may be experiencing mental health issues or a mental health crisis.

The serious stuff

Support Act is a Public Benevolent Institution, meaning we’re recognised for providing specialist services that reduce distress and support people facing hardship. This status reflects our clinical foundations, our duty of care, and our role in delivering evidence based mental health support to creative workers.

It also ensures our programs meet strict national standards, are governed responsibly, and remain focused on providing genuine public benefit where it’s needed most.
