Support Act is thrilled to announce that its Yarning Strong – Songlines: The Intersection of Music, Creativity and Culture panel has been selected for this year’s South x SouthWest (SXSW) event in Sydney from 15-22 October.
Host Mitch Tambo will discuss the importance of music, spirituality and creativity in guiding and supporting First Nations peoples and strengthening their ties to land, kin and culture. Alongside two First Nations music industry leaders, they will discuss how incorporating these factors into the contemporary Australian music scene has posed challenges. They will also share their insight into the industry and how they built their careers.
