Angela is a Social Worker who leads the crisis relief team. Throughout her career, Angela has worked in various roles and agencies including area health, non government and local government organisations and led a not-for-profit community service agency as General Manager. She is experienced in casework, community development, organisational management and advocacy work especially related to issues of gender, disability, ageing and social inclusion. Originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand, Angela has travelled extensively, working in London and Thailand before settling in Sydney. Just prior to joining Support Act, she combined a passion for travel with working in developing countries through capacity building projects in remote communities of the Philippines and Bougainville, Papua New Guinea.
Angela is a passionate music lover and especially loves attending live gigs – from stadium concerts to intimate venues, impromptu gigs and music festivals. Angela is excited to be working with an organisation that supports and advocates for workers in the music industry.
