Support Act Code of Conduct

At Support Act, we are committed to creating spaces that are psychologically safe for everyone. This includes staff and attendees at all Support Act events, programs and gatherings, including on digital platforms and in person, where we seek to create a respectful, friendly, enjoyable, and inclusive experience for all participants. We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment by:

  • Treating others with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
  • Respecting cultural, ethnic, religious, gender, and sexual orientation differences.
  • Engaging with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Contributing to a safe and inclusive space, being mindful of how words and actions impact others.
  • Following reasonable directions from event organisers or staff.
  • Reporting any breaches of this Code of Conduct to a Support Act staff member.

Support Act does not tolerate the following in any aspect of  its events, programs and gatherings, including business and social activities, whether in person or online:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or bullying in any form, including verbal, physical, or written abuse.
  • Intimidation, threats, or aggressive behaviour towards others.
  • Sexual harassment, including unwanted or inappropriate attention.
  • Disruptive behaviour that affects the safety or enjoyment of others.
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on age, race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern or makes a complaint.

If you experience or witness any unacceptable behaviour, please report it to a Support Act staff member or get in touch at [email protected].

Reports will be handled with care and confidentiality.

Support Act reserves the right to refuse admittance to or remove any person from a Support Act program or event at any time at its sole discretion. Serious breaches may result in exclusion from future events or further action.
