Crystal Russom is part of the Marketing and Communications team at Support Act, bringing a decade of experience across marketing, communications, fundraising and the creative industries. Prior to joining Support Act, Crystal spent almost 5 years at youth mental health organisation batyr, leading marketing and fundraising initiatives focused on youth engagement, storytelling and community impact. Her earlier career included 4 and half years in commercial radio with Southern Cross Austereo, as well as experience in community radio.
With studies spanning the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) and the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Crystal combines a passion for creative storytelling with a strong understanding of the power of community, connection and purpose-led communications. Her career has also been recognised through numerous awards celebrating her contributions to volunteering, fundraising and youth engagement.
A self-proclaimed fangirl, Crystal is passionate about music and loves discovering new artists, attending concerts and supporting the local creative community. You’ll often find her listening to all kinds of pop music including Taylor Swift, Eminem, Ed Sheeran and BTS.
