Support Act has today announced a new date for its rescheduled Head First music industry conference about mental health and wellbeing – Wednesday 25 May 2022.

Despite two COVID-related postponements, the long-awaited event will return at the brand new Australian Institute of Music (AIM) campus in The Rocks, Sydney from 9am-5pm, followed by performances and networking.

Hosted by presenter, podcaster and author Yumi Stynes, the event will welcome current and future leaders of the music community to face the challenges of the past and look to a future where psychological safety, mental health and wellbeing are at its core.

CEO of Support Act, Clive Miller, explains: “With all of the pandemic-related setbacks we’ve all faced over these past two years, taking the time to reconnect and talk about our mental health and wellbeing has never been more important.

“We hope that everyone across our music community can come together to finally catch up in person, reset and re-prioritise the importance of mental health and wellbeing in these challenging times.”

The event is open to anyone in the industry, from musicians and managers to crew and music workers, with the aim of giving them a new understanding of the mental health challenges facing the industry today and the tools to be able to put their wellbeing first.

Tickets are $39 including a light breakfast, hot drinks, lunch, afternoon tea, live performances and networking drinks. More details and speakers to be announced soon.
