Cherie Minniecon

Cherie Minniecon is a Yorta Yorta woman, accredited social worker and futurist with a background in futures studies. Cherie has been involved in several complex reform and social change initiatives spanning a range of sectors, including family and youth services, sport and emergency services.

Cherie is committed to self-determined futures and is always asking the question, “Whose future is this?”

At Support Act, Cherie supports the coordination of the First Nations-led Music Industry Review Project. Working alongside the First Nations Steering Committee, consultants, artists, industry stakeholders and communities she will assist to shape practical ways to build, shape and strengthen the music industry’s relationship with First Nations artists and music workers, and its future.

Outside of work, Cherie enjoys open-water swimming, spending time with family and friends, and breaking up fights between her 12 chickens.
