Nicole Richards is the Managing Director of Island Records Australia, at Universal Music (UMA). Richards made history as the first woman appointed Managing Director at UMA and is one of only a few women to lead a label in Australia. She sits on UMA’s Executive Team and is an active contributor to the Women in Music community and advocate for gender equality.
Richards has played a pivotal role in the local and international success of a vast array of artists across her career; many of whom credit her strategic vision and leadership for their career breakthroughs. Regularly appearing in the AMID Power 50, in 2025 Richards was recognised for her leadership in the Australian Music business as the recipient of the ‘ARIA Executive Leader Award’ at the Australian Women in Music Awards.
