I am pleased to advise that this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day was a huge success, raising an unbelievable $260,664.

A huge thank you to everyone who set up a team fundraising page, made a donation, rallied their networks, posted their photos to social media, purchased and / or donated proceeds from the sale of t-shirts. Check out our thank you video here.

We were incredibly excited to see Ausmusic T-Shirt Day as the #2 trending item on Australian Twitter on Friday 15 November, and humbled by the many hundreds of messages of support from artists, crew, music workers and music lovers throughout the campaign.

Bragging rights for this year go to Matthew Yau and the incredible fundraising efforts of the Powderworkers, who raised an amazing $15k and topped the leaderboard.

Special thanks to Levi’s and General Pants for the funds that they raised through sales of their limited edition t-shirts.

Support Act would also like to thank ARIA and Triple J for being outstanding campaign partners; and Daryl Braithwaite – with support of Sony Music and Sohn Hearts and Minds Conference – for a very generous donation to the campaign.

In the words of ARIA CEO Dan Rosen: “the true measure of a community can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members”. (Check out our ARIAs video here).

The funds raised will enable Support Act to provide crisis relief and mental health counselling services to more of our colleagues who are doing it tough, and to develop new prevention programs for a healthier music industry – mentally and physically.

Thank you for showing the heart and soul of our industry.
